For this commercial workshop conversion, a new mezzanine level was added to transform a plain white box of a space into a private music rehearsal space - capturing the feeling of an old recording studio set within an industrial warehouse. The design marries repurposed fixtures and finishes with customized hardware-store finds… creating the ultimate hangout. Beyond the barnboard and brick, the new enclosure provides adequate soundproofing to allow for live performances and recording sessions, all without intruding on the neighbours.
